Here's what some clients have to say about me and our work together...

"Nathaniel had the astonishing effect of waking me up completely"

Before working with Nathaniel, I felt overwhelmed and lost. Although I was achieving results at work, I was stressed and burdened by a constant pressure to deliver more.

My focus was misplaced; I prioritised the expectations of others over my own desires and goals. I was following someone else’s vision instead of forging my own path.

I thought I had a clear picture of where I wanted to be in a year, but it wasn’t my vision, I wasn’t me.

Looking back, I would describe my daily state as tired, unhappy, and lost.

I hadn’t actively sought change, believing that simply pushing forward with the company’s goals would suffice.

This mindset only deepened my dissatisfaction, trapping me in a cycle of meeting the high expectations of others, which drained my energy.

When I first considered working with Nathaniel, I felt a mix of curiosity and fear.

I was firstly curious about what I could discover in myself, but also worried about how much I would need to share and whether I would be judged.

I realised that if I wanted genuine results, I had to be open and vulnerable. Nathaniel inspired trust, so I decided to commit full force.

Now, reflecting on the past 15 months, I can confidently say that everything is different.

My emotional state has shifted dramatically; I feel at peace.

This transformation has impacted my work, family relationships, and overall lifestyle. I’ve learned to balance my professional and personal life better, dedicating more time to my family.

Before, work consumed me; now, I’ve discovered that I can achieve great results while working less. Nathaniel even challenged me with the idea that “you can work less but have the same results,” which I initially found hard to believe.

I feel more independent and self-determined. I’ve discovered what I truly enjoy, shifting my priorities from pleasing others to prioritising myself. I used to think happiness meant someone else making me happy, but I now understand that I am responsible for my own happiness.

This realisation has empowered me to filter external opinions effectively, detaching myself from negative influences.

Throughout this process, I switched my career focus from sales to marketing. This was a significant leap, especially since I had been confident in sales for years. Embracing this change required courage, but I felt ready to tackle new challenges. I also improved my physical health, losing weight and eliminating panic attacks, which contributed to my overall well-being.

Today, I enjoy life in ways I hadn’t before. Simple pleasures, like enjoying a “magic breakfast” in a café or travelling, bring me genuine joy. My mindset has shifted to embrace experiences rather than dwell on work pressures. I feel enthusiastic about the future and open to opportunities that align with my values.

A crucial turning point in my journey was a conversation with Nathaniel, where he made me imagine the impact of my choices on my family. That moment sparked a realisation: if I didn’t want the future I envisioned, I needed to make a change.

Each session became a step toward self-discovery, helping me reassess my priorities and values. Nathaniel had the astonishing effect of waking me up completely.

This journey has taught me that the effectiveness of coaching relies heavily on my openness and willingness to change. I had to confront uncomfortable truths to move forward.

I initially sought Nathaniel out because I was already achieving business success; I needed guidance on internal matters. Being ready for this journey was essential, as it allowed me to fully embrace the necessary work.

I’m grateful for the connection I formed with Nathaniel. From our first conversation, I felt a strong sense of alignment and knew I wanted to work with him. This connection made it easier for me to open up and engage fully in the process.

In conclusion, my coaching journey has been transformative. I’ve transitioned from feeling lost and overwhelmed to experiencing peace and enthusiasm for life. I’ve learned that true happiness comes from within and that I have the power to shape my own path."

"There aren’t many things in my life I've come across that have been as impactful or as important and as wide ranging in effect as this"

I want to say how much I I appreciate our time together and these ideas that you've given me.

It's a completely different life I'm living now compared to before and a range of things that I thought I was cut off from forever have opened up to me, entire new worlds and entire new possibilities and, as you said back then, things are just getting better and better and easier and easier.

I honestly didn't believe it until the very last second.

But now the world is full of possibilities and there aren’t many things in my life I've come across that have been as impactful or as important and as wide ranging in effect as this so I just wanted to say again, I really do appreciate it very much.

Thank you.

"I’ve stopped judging myself so much and that has freed me up to be able to be open to who I want to be and how I want to work"

The biggest shift was when I realised that I hadn't really considered what I want and that I was really limiting myself in my own mind about what was possible before I even got started on anything. I realised how I had been operating and that’s been huge.

I realised that when I was selling I was coming from a place of being a lier, a cheat. I began to notice how I was approaching things when I was coming from that place. No wonder I've been not doing it! No wonder I've not been feeling aligned!

I thought I didn’t have enough confidence and that I needed more skills or more training but I realised I’m cutting it off before I even got started. Now I operate from a much deeper and calmer and more resourceful space, without needing to fake it or get myself into a high performance state.

I know that when I am aligned, I know what to do.

This is so freeing because the more I notice where I am coming from, whether it’s sales or skating or conversations with friends, the more I have been able to drop the baggage I was bringing with me.

Instead of trying to power through, or thinking there’s something wrong with me or that I’m constantly behind, my thinking has slowed right down and I have a much more curious perspective.

I find myself thinking “how am I approaching this?”, and then listening and working with that.

I’ve stopped judging myself so much and that has freed me up to be able to be open to who I want to be and how I want to work and how I want to be with people that is going to not just going to get better results, but it's going to be a better experience for me and for the people I'm working with or talking to. It’s an immediate weight lifted and I’m way less frantic.

I realised that I can’t get anything that wrong if I’m coming from a good place. That’s the confidence I’ve been looking for but I didn’t think that’s how I’d get it.

I see that I can choose thoughts or feelings or actions that better serve me and the situation so it's empowered me to be able to make improvements instead of feeling like this is just who I am and it's not particularly effective and I have no idea what to do to fix it. I’ve gone from feeling quite defeated to more in control and capable and a “take things into my own hands” kind of approach which is fucking awesome!

I thought the problem was I didn't have confidence so I needed to fake confidence. Fake it till you make it kind of thing. And it backfired!

Through the work with you, the Men’s Circle and the coaching, I've been able to find confidence, more authentically, through letting go of that shit and letting go of a lot of thoughts instead of thinking I needed to add something I was missing.

I feel like I’m able to coaching myself, to empower myself to recognise thoughts and behaviours that are impacting me in a way that helps me get what I want. I can work through them way more effectively now with less judgement.

Since our coaching I have definitely showed up in my business and with my clients in a way that feels a hell of a lot more aligned. I know that if I operate from my values, I can never be wrong.

I'm shifting the way that I work with clients. I work with value driven businesses and then I can make that be the focus of my business.  I feel really aligned with that and I want to make that kind of contribution.

In the past I could have these kinds of ideas but then I knew within me, you can't do that though. Maybe you could have that idea, sounds nice, sounds really nice, but you're not going to be able to actually achieve that. You’re kidding yourself!

But now I feel like I can have that. I can have that as an idea and I can act on it and I can live it and I can make that happen.

I feel much more capable and empowered to create an idea and make it a reality, like actually make it happen. Even if I have no frickin’ idea how to do it!

I’m taking more ownership over my life and the results I want to create.

The internal shifts have definitely been the biggest for me. And it’s translated into results on the outside too. Whenever we've set particular sales or revenue goals and we've worked on it, it's happened.

My biggest reservation with regard to the coaching was that I didn't have clear outcomes. What am I doing this for? What do I want?

I didn’t know what the programme was like, what's the deliverable stuff in the middle? I’m used to very specific deliverables so it was hard for my brain to latch on to such an open space. I felt like I needed to know the details and what we are doing. It felt like a leap of faith in some way, but because of my experience with you I thought let's go. Let's see what happens.

I trusted you and knew good things will come of it and they have.

"Now I have a calmness, confidence and clear boundaries."

I felt very much like a pinball, bouncing off whatever was in my way, getting flipped over here getting flipped over there. A lot of randomness and hecticness. Gonna do this, gonna do that, it was very chaotic. You get exhausted. You rest. Then you go again, like Groundhog Day. I was getting pulled over here and dragged over there. Not really knowing how to say no.

I’d tried self education on YouTube, putting in different frameworks from business coaching and self-help books.

I would do something for a day or two and then stop and then there was no follow through or accountability.

A lot of it was self exploration of thoughts and ideas and a lot of self awareness, trying to better myself or being more self aware of how I operated but getting very lost down rabbit holes of this or that technique, you’ve got to do more of this or more of that, magic morning routines and this or that 10 step checklist and it became very overwhelming. I got to a point where I felt nothing I do works and I just must be broken!

I thought, oh here we go again. Been there, done that, another mentor, another coach, another framework to follow. But I was also at a point where it's like, if I don't do this, then what?

I remember how exhausted I felt. There was so much decision fatigue rattling in my brain.

I was thinking is this just a band-aid that's going to temporarily fix something, or is it going to delay the inevitable?

I’m definitely a lot better than what things used to be.

Now I have a calmness, confidence and clear boundaries.

Confidence within myself that I'm worthy and deserving and there's less self doubt and self-sabotage.

I’m speaking my mind more. I used to bottle things up a lot. Now I have the confidence to call stuff out when it’s not cool or it’s outside my values or that's not where I want to have this relationship flow.

Before I would shy away from speaking my mind but I realised this was just mental self abuse!

If I heard someone speak to someone else the way that I speak to myself I'd be like- hey man, that's not cool to talk to someone like that! And yet, I was doing that every day to myself!

You're not good enough!

How dare you!

You’re shit!

Because we don't verbalise it and it's not to someone else we tolerate it.

So that was another big realisation that's happened over the last 12 months.

It creeps in and I'm an over-thinker, but I’m more aware of it and able to catch it.

I realised I don’t have to say yes to everything, you know? That whole yes-man man attitude.

That just wears me thinner and it's a vicious circle of filling up everyone else's cup and then feeling completely dehydrated and empty and then it hurts when you ask for help!

I wasn't there for myself. The realisation was- if I'm not going to be there for myself, and I'm just going to allow people to take time and effort and energy and resources from me, then I can't really expect it to come back and so I need boundaries to protect it from leaving in the first place.

I don't know if I would have moved states as comfortably if I didn't have this type of soundboard.

I definitely can say that I wouldn't have the office where I'm sitting in right now because I know that there was something we definitely workshopped during one of the sessions and I left and went fuck it, I'm just gonna go do it and I couldn't be happier now.

My decision making got much better and we survived COVID! When businesses were collapsing left, right and centre that, to me, is a huge success.

Sometimes the biggest aha moments came when it wasn't even me speaking. Hearing other people are going through similar stuff and the way that they articulate it was was comforting. Like, I'm not the only crazy person going through this weird scenario and and then hearing and seeing their realisations and seeing the penny dropping for them.

It's kind of like watching an inspirational movie or a TED talk or something and then leaving that and going- God that's exactly what I need to do and I never saw it from that angle! Seeing my problem through someone else's problem creates a bit of a disassociation, so it's not as personal but the lesson is just as real.

Another big penny drop moment was knowing my self worth.

The more I know it the more that I can attract, whether it be wealth; network; people; product; information, and the more I can help other people.

Slowing down that river is not helping the people downstream so being open to knowing this stream is flowing and I'm going to take from it because I'm going to nourish and nurture a garden that's going to flourish, and then I'm going to be able to give more than what I've taken.

But if I'm restricting the flow because of mindset or self belief or blockages, then I'm doing an injustice to the people in my network who I'm helping. I felt that I was acting selfishly- there was a bit of guilt for being able to survive through COVID, for having some wealth behind me from previous enterprises when I see other people struggling

I realised if I don't nurture myself and protect me and bring more of that into my domain, then how can I possibly help anyone else?

I flipped that feeling of selfishness to more being selfless.

The world needs me to do what I'm doing and amplify the stuff I'm doing and not run just on passion!

"I found myself energised rather than exhausted—a stark contrast to how I used to feel"

Reflecting on my coaching journey with Nathaniel over the past year, I realise how transformative it has been. A year ago, I was navigating a chaotic summer at the gallery, struggling with staffing issues after a colleague left. We were emerging from lockdowns into a whirlwind of activity, and I felt overwhelmed. My energy was depleted, and I constantly found myself exhausted from the physical and mental demands of running the gallery.

Nathaniel and I focused on practical strategies to boost my energy and improve my work-life balance. Now, a year later, I’m pleased to say that I feel a significant difference. The team dynamics have improved with new hires like Janelle, which has alleviated a lot of the stress I was under. During a recent large-scale installation, I found myself energised rather than exhausted—a stark contrast to how I used to feel. The gallery is running more smoothly, and I no longer carry the same mental load.

Health was another key focus in our coaching sessions. I’ve developed healthier habits around food and exercise, incorporating walking, yoga, and even dance into my routine. I recently invested in a new fridge to store fresh vegetables, which has made a noticeable difference in my diet. While the vibrant summer in Melbourne has led to more socialising—often involving late nights and indulging in food and drink—I've been working on finding a balance. I still need to prioritise my physical health alongside the mental boost I get from engaging with the art community.

Throughout the year, Nathaniel helped me confront my imposter syndrome regarding my artistic abilities. I’ve transitioned from feeling unqualified, to confidently identifying as an artist. I began creating my own jewellery, and I'm preparing for my first exhibition, which is both thrilling and daunting. This creative outlet has reignited a childhood passion for making things, reminiscent of whittling wood with my grandfather—something I enjoyed without any pressure to excel.

The coaching process emphasised the importance of play and fun in my work. I learned to set boundaries, prioritising my health and well-being while still pursuing my creative ambitions. The practice of saying "no" to certain opportunities has been liberating, allowing me to focus on what truly matters to me.

Nathaniel's guidance has also provided a framework for assessing my progress. I’ve been able to reflect on my motivations and energy levels, which has resulted in a deeper understanding of myself both personally and professionally. I’ve started to build relationships with local artists and mentors who inspire and challenge me, fostering a community that values balance and well-being.

In summary, the past year has been a period of significant growth. I've not only improved my work-life balance and health but also embraced my identity as an artist. The journey with Nathaniel has helped me navigate challenges, prioritise self-care, and foster creativity in a supportive way. I look forward to continuing this path and sharing my progress in the future.

"A friend noticed the change in me, saying I seemed more comfortable in myself"

Before I started working with Nathaniel, I was in a place where my relationship with work was off-balance, it wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t perfect either. I was feeling a lack of purpose in my job, the literary romanticism that suggests that if you find your true calling, you’ll wake up like Superman every day.

I missed that flow from previous roles where work felt effortless. Instead, I found myself pushing through tasks, often avoiding emotionally challenging conversations, leading to stress and discomfort. I realised I needed to confront these emotional blockages but didn’t know how.

When it came to strategies, I’d often just wait and see how it panned out. This passive approach wasn’t effective. I tried to find purpose in my work, mentally processing my priorities, but nothing really clicked. I remember discussing my doubts about committing to coaching with my partner. She questioned why I couldn’t just read a self-help book.

This got me thinking, but once I started the course, I realised that accountability and community were essential to my growth. I was hesitant because I couldn’t see how this would bring about the change I needed. But then I read a book about investing in oneself, which encouraged me to think, “You’ve got nothing to lose.”

Now, reflecting on the changes, I see how I’ve become more honest with myself. I recognized that my feelings of dissatisfaction stemmed from not fully understanding what I wanted. I had to unpack my resistance to change, confronting fears about what success meant and how it might impact my career. I realised I could live with the risks of reducing my work hours to seek a better work-life balance.

Internally, journaling became a powerful tool for me. It helped me clarify my thoughts and take actionable steps. I moved away from overthinking and worrying. A friend noticed the change in me, saying I seemed more comfortable in myself. This shift allowed me to process concerns more effectively and not be consumed by anxiety.

The most rewarding part of this journey has been connecting with a group of men who shared similar struggles. Initially, I was sceptical about how open people would be in a digital course, but I was pleasantly surprised. We created a space where vulnerability was welcomed. I learned that as men, we often don’t talk about what truly matters, but when given the chance, we crave those deeper conversations.

As for what’s next, I’m preparing for a significant life change—fatherhood. I’m looking forward to balancing my new responsibilities while maintaining the insights I’ve gained. I’m currently engaged in green energy projects in a more senior role, which feels much more aligned with my capabilities.

I’m considering participating in a deeper weekend retreat. I believe it would be a valuable opportunity to further explore my personal growth. The idea of stepping away from daily distractions for a few days resonates with me. The depth of connection and the chance to reflect on my life in a supportive environment seems transformative.

Overall, this journey has illuminated the importance of open communication among men and the necessity of addressing our emotional health. I now understand that it’s crucial to not only seek personal growth but to also foster deeper connections with those around us.

"The work I was able to do on myself was life changing, I’m physically and mentally healthier"

Nathaniel was interested in what I do, in the art world it’s not normal to have a coach, he recognised that what I do is important. For the last 7-10 years I’ve had an amazing but exhausting life, it came at a cost. Nathaniel helped me understand that anxiety is normal, he helped me sleep, he talked me down from a full-blown panic attack, I wouldn’t have had the success I’ve had, in a personal or business way without his help.

It sounds dramatic, but Nathaniel saved my life, I don’t see him as a hero on a pedestal or anything, he gave me something in the right place at the right time.

I’d become very disillusioned within the wellness space, there’s a lot of cult dynamics. I’m about living the best life you can live, figuring out what works and what doesn’t, not mumbo jumbo “meditate and we’ll be fine, have some crystals” stuff – I’m sceptical – I want from a coach something concrete about what we are going to do. I talk a lot of sh*t and don’t do it – Nathaniel held me accountable which I needed – I can do that myself now.

The work I was able to do on myself was life changing, I’m physically and mentally healthier. I started caring much more about myself, learnt to slow down, stop, and be still and present with where I was. I was able to focus on myself rather than being secondary to the rest of the world; Nathaniel gave me permission to do a lot of things I wouldn’t have done – family and societal expectations aside. Nathaniel teaches people how to actually achieve that change by themselves – life changing again.

In terms of happiness and lifestyle he has been able to show me it’s ok to go after what I want, he was really helpful with business strategy, I never went to business school but he brought that background. Everything we have done has worked really well.

A year ago, I was catastrophizing, he has really, really helped me not to worry about future scenarios – this has been a massive part of my business success. Finding staff was a result of coaching - we do what we do because it is a lifestyle choice, but there’s no point in burning yourself out. Nathaniel is very much about putting your own health and wellbeing first – our conditioning is to be productive machines, not human beings – I really like that. It’s had a flow on effect with people around me, I have a lot of influence and people listen to me, they trust me – his effect on me affects them – it has that ripple effect.

Coaching has been the difference between intellectualising putting myself first and actually doing it. Knowing all these things but not practising. I had full burn out, always on “Go” I hadn’t given myself permission and time to process things that had happened to me.

I’m now able to plan my life – as an artist, a bohemian I had the belief “I don’t need to plan” …all these myths I had about myself were just as limiting as those experienced in the corporate world. I do plan, I’m very strategic, but it also terrifies me, I like to be able to just do stuff – but it led to burnout.

I’m about the middle ground, everything in moderation, having your cake and eating it – being able to do the work I love without killing myself over it, being able to have music, and a social life, and friends, and fun – without being self-destructive.

It’s not terrifying to plan your future – that’s been revelatory for me, being able to plan my life without having a panic attack, it’s helped me dial back my Nihilism.

It’s expensive, but it’s made me more money than it cost, and then there are the other benefits – health, mind, emotional - the benefits in my life can’t be measured by money but save money!

In summary, I’ve had so many revelations, I feel like every time we had a session I had a revelation.

"I finally feel like I’ve taken control of my life"

In my recent conversation with Nathaniel, I opened up about my transformative journey over the past two years, it's been a picture through what can only be described as a nervous breakdown. Reflecting on the waves of self-loathing I experienced, I finally feel like I’ve taken control of my life. I’ve gone and applied all the things he and I discussed... I’ve stepped into the shoes that were waiting for me.

I pointed to two pivotal moments that sparked my shift. The first was returning from a holiday in New York, where a conversation with my friend, Alex, reignited my sense of purpose. That conversation with Nathaniel  was pivotal. He  just stopped me and said, “That’s what you need to do.” That external validation was crucial; it pushed me to commit to my ideas rather than overthink them.

When Nathaniel asked me what triggered this change, I explained how I began to understand my relationship with work on a deeper level. I asked myself, “Why am I so disruptive?” It dawned on me that traditional jobs weren’t where I thrived. Whenever I’ve been happiest, I’ve been at the beginning of something. This realisation made it clear that I needed to create my own opportunities. The only way to do that is to start something that is built on the foundations of what you enjoy.

Networking became essential during this process. After our conversation, I reached out to my contacts on LinkedIn, and I was amazed by the responses. I was so excited when everybody got back to me. That support helped me gain momentum and eventually launch my business.

Reflecting on my past, there was a time when everything felt overwhelming. When we met, I had just been sacked from a job I’d had for six weeks, and my personal life was equally chaotic, with strained family relationships. I’d been outsourcing responsibility for my creative well-being to people who made me profoundly unhappy.

I had tried to set up businesses in the past but struggled with commitment and confidence. I admit, I didn’t think big enough. But now, I have a renewed determination to succeed on my own terms, recognising the joy I find in pursuing my passions.

My insights about belief and commitment were striking for me. Belief is commitment, and commitment is discipline. I am present in everyday tasks and recognising how small actions contribute to larger goals. Everything you do sends out a signal, I am showcasing my growth in self-awareness.

My personal journey also involved a commitment to better health. I’ve stopped smoking, I’ve more or less stopped drinking. This holistic approach has made me psychologically stronger - I know myself better because I bothered, highlighting the importance of self-investment.

When Nathaniel asked about my initial hesitations before committing to our work together, I was candid. I acknowledged that not investing in yourself is a form of self-sabotage. I recognized that handing over the money to start our work meant I had to take action. Reflecting on the fear that came with that commitment, it was suddenly on me to do something.

Reflecting on the work we have done together, I have optimism for the future. I feel really good, underscoring the satisfaction of taking control of my life. I acknowledge the journey ahead, anything like this has lots of ups and downs... but it makes me nicer to other people.

My story is one of resilience and self-discovery, where overcoming past challenges has led me to a more purposeful and fulfilling life. I truly feel like I’m just warming up for what lies ahead, and it’s been inspiring to witness my own growth.

"I feel more focused, calm, and empowered"

Before working with Nathaniel, I felt overwhelmed and unsure about how to prioritise my time. I had a lot going on in various areas of my life, and it was difficult to concentrate on anything specific. My relationship was also a significant source of struggle, compounding my feelings of chaos. I often coped by making lists and journaling, but I realised that I needed something more practical to help me move forward.

I was initially drawn to Nathaniel’s approach because I wanted to take action rather than just reflect on my feelings. I knew I wanted to work with him, but I hesitated due to financial concerns. I thought, "I love this idea, but I can't afford it right now." When Nathaniel offered a payment plan, it made it possible for me to say yes.

Since starting the program, my perspective has shifted dramatically. While my circumstances haven’t changed much—particularly regarding health challenges—I’ve come to a place of acceptance about the situation. I remember deciding to focus on my health issues and realising that it was okay for things to be difficult. The biggest change has been my newfound calmness and acceptance of where I am.

One of my proudest accomplishments during our time together was launching my happiness course. I was initially nervous, but through Nathaniel’s guidance, I learned to embrace those nerves rather than let them control me. I remember discussing my anxiety about the course, and by the time I walked into the first session, I was pleasantly surprised to find I wasn’t nervous at all. This experience highlighted my growth and the positive impact of Nathaniel’s support.

Another significant achievement has been my work on an anxiety management course. I was ecstatic when participants wanted to stay and chat long after the session ended. We had many "light bulb" moments that felt powerful, reinforcing that I was doing what I was meant to do. Nathaniel helped me realise that I was truly passionate about this work, which made the experience even more fulfilling.

One of the most transformative insights I gained was the importance of slowing down. I used to feel a constant urgency, which I found incredibly stressful. However, Nathaniel encouraged me to create calm in my life, and I embraced that intention. Even during a chaotic day filled with wedding preparations, I was able to maintain my calm. I thought, "How long will this calm last?" but I now understand that it’s about embracing the present moment, no matter how chaotic life gets.

Throughout the program, I’ve become more organised in my thoughts and clearer about what I want to achieve. I’ve learned to accept that not every idea needs to be acted on immediately; timing is essential. This realisation has alleviated some of my previous overwhelm and allowed me to focus on what truly matters at the moment.

Furthermore, I’ve gained a sense of trust in the process. I now believe that things will unfold as they should, rather than forcing them to happen. This newfound perspective has given me strength and resilience, even when faced with challenges.

Nathaniel’s support made me feel safe enough to express my emotions, especially during moments when I felt overwhelmed. I remember sending a message to the group, saying I was spinning out and needed help. Nathaniel encouraged me to bring those feelings into the group setting, which helped me feel more connected and less isolated in my struggles. This openness has fostered a deeper awareness of my emotions and helped me cope better with the ups and downs of life.

In summary, I feel more focused, calm, and empowered. My journey with Nathaniel has helped me grow both internally and externally. I’ve learned to trust myself and my abilities, and I’m excited about the future. I truly appreciate the space Nathaniel created for me to explore my feelings and take meaningful action. I can’t recommend this experience enough; it has been transformative for me.

You gave me the fucking keys to the Empire!

I’d never really considered myself as somebody having as polished social skills as some other people might have had, and it all converged into this mentality of clamouring for some sort of recognition, for some sort of attention.

I didn't really understand why I felt so disassociated from other people. So I ended up going into therapy, doing that for a couple of years and unearthing what I would consider it to be really just theories.

It was remarkably frustrating for me to not have any clue as to what I am meant to do with all of this non mental processes. I was just not really getting the results I wanted.

Life really wasn't all that fulfilling and didn't seem like there was as much to look forward to or hoped for as as one would have imagined. I felt myself kind of progressively losing steam.

I started reaching out for sources which could provide alternative answers and ended up trying these various kind of underground groups and subcultures that you might find around London, and I started seeing that there were multiple worlds side by side and decided I wanted to go deeper in the rabbit hole, but ultimately, it was never really that fulfilling at all.

I've consistently had this feeling like I'm not doing things for the right reasons. Or even if I do have the right reasons, I'm not willing to act upon them.

It seemed to me that certain things I'm just not capable of or worthy of or that are just out of my reach. Too many things have happened for me to adopt certain mentality certain mindsets and some skills I just didn't develop the right way.

I had a fundamental belief that there was something was biologically, probably neurologically, wrong with me. Because there was nothing in the way of answers that I could ever find.

It was remarkably frustrating because you feel like you're paddling against the current and the river is full of shit and it was not a good feeling.

My decision to attend your course really began with the understanding of the way that you took an interest in who I was and the stuff that I was going through.

That was something I hugely needed at the time, and I very much appreciate it to this day that somebody actually stood up in front of me and asked , hey, what the fuck are you going through? That really never happened to me before.

I knew that the lessons that you impart and the understand that you have has significantly magnetic effects on the people around you and the message that you put forward was highly regarded by everybody that I've seen you talk to about it.

I didn't have any idea what I was going into. And I made that a very conscious decision because I was genuinely curious.

The first thing I realised was the was that negative experiences in life are inevitable, are, you know, part and parcel of your existence and that's not something that you will be able to avoid them? Neither are you meant to to avoid it.

The second thing I realised was that that's not a problem. As such, that's there's no issue with you having negative experiences with you having negative feelings with you having a bad time.

The third realisation was that by understanding why I'm experiencing those emotions, I actually can use that to better myself and to drive myself in a better direction, better habits and just an all around better mentality.

By virtue of all of that, you get to be what you want to be. Its ultimate self determination! Wherever I am now, whatever I do, whatever I may have done, whatever the past is, doesn't matter, because I know exactly how to identify those things. I know how to set my mind to pursuing them. And ultimately, I get to write my own story.

It doesn't matter what anybody throws at me anymore, or what I perceive as being thrown at me.

So yeah, you gave me the fucking keys to the Empire!

"I’m so much more focussed"

I’ve had a huge shift in my focus. I was all over the place. A little bit over here, a little bit over there. I’d have 20 tasks on the go and would have each one at 30 or 40% complete so I always had loads of tasks that were undone.

I felt like I was in a rut, where I had loads to work on but I wasn't getting anything done! I was trying to fulfil loads of different people's needs all the time. My new way of thinking about it is now in my head everyday and I’m so much more focussed. I’m getting lots of great feedback from work.

My listening has got so much better and I feel like I'm making better connections with people. Six months ago, I could annoy people by not listening to them deeply and finding myself always thinking about what I want to say next rather than rather than listening to what they were saying. It’s improved all my relationships; my girlfriend, with friends, family, everything!

I saw something about change. Change can happen in a moment. Change can happen with one thought. I always used to think that if I want to change some things, like quitting smoking, I'm not going to be able to do it. I realised that I can decide to stop smoking and just stop smoking. The realisation that everything's within your own grasp. Anything you want to change is down ultimately down to you.

As soon as you mentioned it, I thought that sounds good. I’m in! I was ready for whatever the Intensive was gonna throw me.

If someone else who I didn't know had came and said that to me I wouldn’t have known enough about them to know it would have been a good experience. I've spoken to other coaches and people in this field and I can't really get behind what they're saying. I don't believe in what they're saying because they are not living it.

I know you’re a good listener, a really good listener, you’re a person that I can trust in what you're saying.

I've never really done any sort of self help stuff before. I've read a bit of Tony Robbins here and there but this experience has opened my eyes to realise that school is never out. You can always be happy with what you've got, and also aspire to something better as well. I got a deeper appreciation for that I have and all that I have created and am creating.

My declarations keep me focused on many things I want to achieve or things I want to maintain. If you've got something in the forefront of your mind it is more likely to happen. If you don't think about it, it's not impossible to manifest itself, but it is less likely to happen. You’re increasing your chances of something happening. That's really powerful.

I've got better at walking up to girls and just talking to them. I’ve talked to so many girls this weekend!

I started doing more kettlebell work at the gym and stretching more. I feel like I’m now doing good, real exercise consistently. I’ve been doing cold showers every day and loving it. I'm used to the cold now!

And I am creating more time to contemplate things. Not always trying to fill every minute of every day with something. Realising it’s ok to have thinking time. I’ve been scoping some business ideas and making some plans.

It's been been a good ride and the ride is continuing.

From when we started talking till now, I’m an improved person. I really feel my growth has accelerated in the last 6 months."

"It's been really liberating, in a way that well, how could you anticipate that would happen?!"

I've had a lifelong battle between safety and adventure. I've always chosen safety and the regular income and stability, I guess primarily because of my son and thinking that was the right thing to do to provide for him in a steady and consistent way. But then that leaves you missing the adventure and is a dull and monotonous life.

I knew I needed to change this situation because it was grinding me down. I'm feeling the stress of the work, because there's so much of it, there's a pressure there to get all this stuff done and it's never ending and I don't enjoy it! Conversely, I have been gigging for 25 years and whenever I finish a gig I'll be buzzing because I've made the room move and dance and I know that's where my passion is.

The pandemic compounded it to a point of just being in a state of either anxiety, stress or depression, or boredom or loneliness or just not feeling like I'm achieving what I'm supposed to be achieving in my short time on this planet. Money is a prison to some extent, but I felt like I was in some kind of self-imposed mental prison with it all.

I wasn't looking for anything, but I really liked the sound of the Intensive. Just to go in, as we did, clear everything away, chill it down, slow it all down and have a look at things and see what answers are just waiting. They're just one thought away.

It's an investment in yourself that I feel was worth it. I don't feel like it's finished, like it wasn't just five days, it's only just begun. That was just the opening ceremony!

I had a flutter about the money that ties into a bigger, difficult relationship with money.

It's like you need to save your money. You need to look after your money. You shouldn't be spending it on yourself. Could there be a better use for it? Would it pay for something for my son or anything like this?

Even before the weekend, from some of the chats we had leading up to it, I was way less stressed about work.

You helped me realise that I'm the one making that stress. I'm defining it as a stressful situation. That has changed now. That's gone. The whole stress level is just gone.

You've helped me to remove the kind of mental prison of anxiety and stress about my job.

I’ve changing the balance of work and life and gigging.

I’ve moved my solo project forward. I’ve lined up some collaborators and the idea has been well received and I’ve bought the gear to do it. I'm speaking it into existence and the feedback has been great!

I've got loads more gigs and I'm seeking out more gigs which is just magnificent and fun. And the gigs have been peaceful mentally because there can be anxiety around that as well. It’s just been even more peaceful and more rewarding and so that's a very clean slate now.

I went in with a very open mind. I thought what is going to happen here? How is this going to happen? What am I going to discover? It was during other people's talks that I saw the most stuff about myself which I didn’t expect.

I didn't think I had any baggage, really. And I did add a couple of big bags, didn’t I? That was really that was a huge weight off my shoulders.

Writing out the intentions, that's when the light bulb went off. I sat down and I forgave myself that one of those bags was full of the feeling of failure and beating myself up for not making it as a well paid professional musician. I'm a professional musician, I’m just not well paid for it yet!

Then writing down my intentions again after that moment was seeing that, wow, of all of these things, actually it is the solo project that that's really the thing I want to do.

With all that bullshit just gone away, I just saw what I want for music much more clearly, which is lovely. It's been really liberating, in a way that well, how could you anticipate that would happen?!

I've got loads of techniques and methods and daily practices to stay connected to what I learned and what the new truth is, and what the truth has always been.

I've just had a whirlwind week with my son, just had a fucking blast! I see clearly now who I want to be and I'm stepping towards it.

I’m very inspired. Quite the opposite of a stressful anxious mess!

"I feel like I've got a much better way of understanding myself"

I was trying to juggle too much pressure and stress and I wanted to find a way out of my little circus I've created.

I want security and peace and space and tranquillity for my family and that means that I've got to provide all of that and literally start from the ground up.

I felt like my relationship with my partner was in a precarious place and that was affecting our relationship with our daughter. So that was something I absolutely immediately needed to fix or learn to deal better with. The Intensive gave me an opportunity to put that out in front of other people who want to help.

I always had confidence in Nathaniel. His understanding of the world and the mind and and how the two interact has always been something I've admired.

What I didn't realise is that the space that the team has created, you with the actual location and the setup, but also with the guys that we're sharing with you know, we've created this really safe space of no judgement and as much time as you needed to really explore some of these concerns, but without necessarily needing to fix them. Just understanding them from a different perspective.

Coming away from the Intensive I feel like I've got a much better way to communicate with my partner. I've got a much better way to deal with the external pressures of modern life, like career, property, the day to day shit. And I feel like I've got a much better way of understanding myself. My strengths and weaknesses, but areas where I should be proud and thankful and appreciative too.

Obviously it’s a leap of faith. What I would say to anyone who's considering this is that the unknown is a beautiful place. There's so much to explore and do and experience that you just don't know what effect it will have on you until you've done it. There's nothing to lose and everything to gain. There's nothing to fear. There's lots of love. And it's it's really an amazing space that has no time no pressure, no external influences to corrupt what is truly yourself.
